RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CENTRE
UPEC’s united R&D centre consists of 7 laboratories. Our research laboratories are equipped with chromatographic and spectrometric equipment, as well as bench equipment, including dual-circuit circulation benches.
Those are used to run corrosion testing on engine coolants under conditions simulating real-life and according to ASTM D2570. UPEC also has apparatus for testing cavitation corrosion and erosion-corrosion characteristics of aluminium automotive pumps in line with ASTM D2809.
UPEC regularly expands its fleet acquiring new modern laboratory equipment. Among the latest acquisitions are engine benches which simulate various loads on engine parts and help study the behaviour of lubricants under extreme conditions.
UPEC’s Tech Park includes in-house research laboratories with modern equipment.
LOGISTICS CENTRE
UPEC’s Logistics Centre provides 24/7 efficient storage and uninterrupted shipment of finished products. The total warehouse area is 65,000 pallet spaces — more than enough to provide our partners with any required product volume.

Every day, we dispatch 70 twenty-ton trucks with finished products to ensure timely delivery of our products to customers. In UPEC’s Logistics Centre, products can be loaded directly onto railway cars if required by a client.

The Tech Park’s infrastructure
UPEC’s Tech Park occupies a vast area of 40 hectares and has a significant production capacity of up to 1 billion litres of products annually. The company’s storage tank park can host 45,000 tons of products, and the total warehouse space is 65,000 pallet spaces. The terminals of the Logistics Centre dispatch 70 trucks daily, each carrying 20 tons of cargo.
Container production
The company has established its own production of plastic and tin containers. Up to 20,000 tons of polyethylene are processed annually with about 100 million plastic canisters produced. UPEC also has a workshop producing tin containers — 30 million tin canisters per year.
